Future Builders Uganda is a charity working to help relief and assist people in small villages in Uganda. Having grown up in London (UK), on his first ever visit to Uganda, Moses Jjunju, one of our founders visited a small village called Kasangonbe Lukyamu in the Nakaseke district.

He witnessed a lot of malnutrition in young children who were going to school without breakfast and coming from families living hand to mouth. He felt compelled to try and make a difference in these children's lives and their families lives. From that moment on the idea of Future Builders Uganda was conceived.

We are working hard on two fronts.

Firstly, we aim to address immediate needs. This means making sure the people who most require our support, get the help they need, when they need it. Examples of what we currently do includes; providing food for families, providing clothing, and making improvements to the local area.

Secondly, we are planning for longer term, larger projects to ensure we are part of building a better future for the people of Uganda. Our main goal is to create a school, which will help Ugandan children escape the poverty into which they have been born.

We are currently doing site surveys on a few locations in Nkozi Kayabwe where we plan on building a school and setting up an agricultural farm for food production. With Uganda being on the equator and yet 1000 to 3000 meters above sea level, it’s geographically in the perfect location for a climate utopia that’s perfect for agriculture.

We see the production of food like maize, cassava, sweet potatoes and much more as a means of helping the school become a self-sustaining, self-scaling and integrated development model to alleviate extreme poverty within the community.

We believe every child deserves a chance to an education and it's our passion to see children and the communities we support empowered and have their potentials unlocked through our work. While there is always more that can be done to help the disadvantaged communities in Uganda, there’s no doubt that we are making a significant impact.
